I live here, 4 blocks from this beach on Dallas Road and so I am reminded daily of living on the edge [at many levels].   And I’ve been thinking about edges in many contexts…and how I ‘walk’ along the edge.  Here are some musings:

I often make a choice to go to the edge, and sometimes I unconsciously find myself there. When it’s a conscious choice, I am deliberate, take one step at a time, remain focused and assess the risk involved.  When it’s not so ‘deliberate’, the edge can be frightening and full of danger.  But as I reflect, the same mindset is needed…focus, attention, one step at a time, courage.

When I pay attention,  from the edge, beauty, discovery and deep learning emerges, as it did from my friend Clare this morning when she shared this with me…

Transformed from individual vessels (mostly from old medicine bottles. (Grail vessels~ feminine)

Into shards of luminosity…

Tossed ashore kindly.

Each piece glistening in the Tidal Exchange of community.

A PREPARATION PROCESS for COMING ASHORE. (Home
